On Nov, 2nd, 2008, we have a special day in Anqing Foreign Language School.

We spend a whole day celebrating Halloween. Halloween is a famous western festival, which always comes on October 31st. The children like this festival very much, because they can do many interesting things on this day.

Now, let’s see what the children do for Halloween in our school.

The students, most of them come from other schools, take the school bus in the early morning. Many students are in Grade 6 and 7.they dress up in different ways. Some wear special clothes, some wear masks, some dress up as Monkey king, tiger or cat. So we do not know who they are. It’s wonderful.

What attracts us most is their own pumpkin lanterns. Each class of Grade Seven in our school holds a pumpkin lantern show on the playground. They cut out the eyes, the nose, and the sharp teeth. Some just put candles in them so the light shines through the eyes, the nose and the teeth. These special pumpkin lanterns interest many students That’s so great!

There are many different kinds of activities and games for students to join in and enjoy. Like answering questions, throwing the ping pang ball, singing and dancing. If the students join in, they are very likely to get the rewards, candies, pens, pencil-sharpeners and erasers. All the games are very interesting and exciting. The foreign teachers also come to play with students , they wear their special costumes with masks, which make children very interested. Though it’s a busy day, the children all feel excited and happy.

连日的阴雨洗涤着孩子们的紧张学习情绪，放松身心的孩子们准备享受我校举办的万圣节，阳光透过云雾偷窥着校园内一群群快乐的笑脸，分享孩子们的快乐。

11月2日七点不到，通往我校的大道上便车流如梭、人流如织。三三两两的中、小学生一身轻装，迈着轻快的步伐奔向我校。他们谈着一个共同的话题——万圣节，安庆外国语学校举办万圣节。

万圣节是西方文化中的一个传统节日，是孩子们自由快乐的节日。孩子在这一天可以向邻居索要糖果，可以化妆自己、雕刻南瓜展示自己才艺与他人共享快乐。我校把这一西方传统文化融入我们文化中来，在了解西方文化的同时，展示我们孩子们的才艺，享受我们的快乐。

操场上挤满了来自市区各中、小学学生，戴着各色各样面具的孩子是流动的靓丽的风景。那雕刻的南瓜作品如凤凰般精美绝伦，把那夸张的形式用到极致，那头发有长有短五颜六色；那眼或大或小形状各异；那鼻子五花八门；那嘴和舌更是奇形怪状。各色作品令人目不暇接，看了本想在孩子们面前保持矜持点头微笑，却也忍不住开怀大笑。投球、套圈、吹气球等等，欢笑、尖叫和歌声掺和在一起滋润每一个人的心田。
